Hello, my name is Thomas Shannon.
For the past two decades, I have dedicated myself to professions that have demanded high levels of fitness, determination, and self-discipline. When surrounded by people who rely on you to react at a moment's notice, a bond is formed. This bond is forged through complete trust that the person next to you, your teammate, can produce the goods when needed without hesitation or question. Physical and mental fitness is at the centre of this trust and is necessary for any high-performing team or individual. It creates mental focus, clarity, improved time management, and energy.
Fitness has been a passion and central part of my life for years, integrated into my daily routine, something that has become automatic. I have always helped people around me to achieve their fitness goals, utilising my previous knowledge and experience as a military Physical Training Instructor.
So the journey began to become a Personal Trainer and put my passion into a profession. I have recently gained accreditation as a level 2 gym instructor and level 3 fitness coach.

Motivation can sometimes feel like a rollercoaster. When you reach the stage of taking action the key is not to relapse and fall back into your old patterns of behaviour. Consistency is key, compare yourself to the old you and nobody else. Small specific achievable goals will help you stay on track.
Fear of injury or even worsening an existing injury is common and can naturally put you off participation. I have been there myself. With education, guidance and fine-tuning exercises, risks are dramatically reduced. You may even surprise yourself with what you're capable of.
